Here we have a bit of a rare bird.
Fantastic Bass!!!
This gorgeous Spector NS2-J was one of a special production of this Model for issue in Canada. After discussion with PJ Rubal, he determined that it would have been late 2000 to early 2001 these made their appearance just before the worldwide Rebop launch. It is definitely an early Model as indicated by the 3232 Serial Number predating the perhaps more well known “NBxxxx” Serial Numbers we’re all familiar with.
The beauty is a super nice, relatively light Bass weighing approximately 8.6 lbs. The finish, although kind of tricky to capture, is a High Gloss, Translucent Black, highlighting the 2 piece solid Maple Body. The finish is in really nice shape for its age, only showing a bit of swirl markings as expected. The Bass is 100% original with EMG 2J Pickups and 9v EMG BTS Preamp. A really beautiful Pau Ferro Fretboard with MOP Dot Inlays completes the Bass. It plays wonderfully and sounds amazing, as you would expect.
Comes with a generic, but quite intact, hard shell Case, and is currently strung with D’addario ETB92 Tapewound 50-105 tuned standard E-G. Can be restrung in either Nickel or Stainless upon request at time of purchase.
